Lou Pearlman dead at 62

Most of the BSB fandom has heard that Lou Pearlman, the man who brought together our boys, has died from a heart attack at 62. You can read the New York Times article here.

Maybe I should have used his mug shot picture.
There has been mixed emotions regarding his death. I am personally thankful that he brought together Nick, Brian, AJ, Howie, and Kevin and was able to make their dreams come true and therefore giving me my favorite group and their music.

Baby Backstreet :)
I never liked the guy and I'm certainly sure I'm not the only one, so it was bitter sweet to hear about his death because of how crappy and shady his actions were and the stories I've heard. There's no tears here that's for sure.

I'm glad that Brian was the first one out of the group to recognize that their hard work was getting taken advantage of and that it essentially led to the group being able to break free from his controlling business side. Sixth Backstreet Boy my ass. Pfft.

He always seemed like a creeper and the accusations of him getting inappropriately sexual with any of his group band members frankly makes me sick. We don't know the full story of this and I believe some other groups' band members made accusations, but I would admit that I would truly have hatred for him if I found out he did something like that to our boys.

That's really all I have to say about Pearlman. If you want to delve deeper into his crooked past, I recommend you read The Hit Charade: Lou Pearlman, Boy Bands, and the Biggest Ponzi Scheme in U.S. History by Tyler Gray. This was such an eye-opening read for me and highly entertaining because it really gave an insider's look into what BSB has had to deal with when it came to this man.

And to end this post on a high note, Florida Georgia Line released "God, Your Mama, and Me" that features BSB. I love this song! I love the message, it's catchy, and it has that element in a song that relaxes and soothes my soul.

I was disappointed to only find a brief clip of it on Billboard.com, but it's available on Itunes. It's not even on Youtube yet, just the lyrics with a different song playing in the background. Speaking of lyrics, "my love is never gonna run dry, never gonna come up empty now until the day I die, unconditionally. You know I'm always gonna be here for ya, no one's ever gonna love you more than God, your mama, and me." Ah, love songs...the best, although there is a little sadness in it for me when I hear the title.

BSB, great idea collaborating with some country artists! The country genre really does have the best lyrical content and that's what I love best about this song.

Nick with Florida Georgia Line
Still anxiously waiting for new BSB music, AJ's solo stuff, and Nick to get crackin' on that childrens' record he was talking about. I need some Nick lullaby music lol. And boys, when are we able to see your asses in Vegas? You know we want that!
