Cruise Themes Announced!

Hi all. My mind hasn't been able to focus on the cruise too much because I'm more worried about my mom, who is still in the hospital. For my own sanity, I'm trying to go on with day to day activities so I don't dwell on the crappy situation I have before me.

Anyway, a few days ago, BSB announced the possible cruise themes and mentioned that there is for sure going to be a Halloween theme. I have some ideas for my costume for that, but I'm not sure yet which one I want to go with. I can say that it will either be funny or pretty, not skanky like some others may be planning.

They listed eight ideas we can choose from. You can still vote here: http://backstreetboys.com/bsbcruise and it looks like anyone can vote, although I don't know if anyone who won't be on the cruise should vote lol. Guess it isn't that big of a deal. So here are the themes presented:

Millennium 90s Party-Celebrate the original decade of the Backstreet Boys! Bring your best '90s attire or even take it a step further and go all white like the Millennium album cover.

Platinum Party- You guys are the ones who helped us go Platinum, now we want to go Platinum with YOU! Let's celebrate 20 years together! We'll be having a silver and white only party - so make sure you're ready!

Bachelorette Party- It's Ladies night! Leave your man at home and we'll be your boys tonight. We promise to make this night lots of fun! P.S. - Fellas are still invited too!

Pirates of the Caribbean- It's not sailing the high seas without pirates right? Bring all the pirate necessities for this theme night. Don't forget your parrot!

Don't Put Out The Glow Party- "Stay here don't put out the glow…" Join the party in your favorite neon clothes and accessories. Don't forget your glow sticks!

Titantic Formal Night- We'll be the Kings and Queens of the world! Wear your best formal attire for this theme night. Maybe we'll even have a little high class dining ;)

Cowboys and Indians- We know you all remember the infamous TRL showdown between "Don't Want You Back" & "The One"… Now it's time to deliver Cowboys & Indians style! We'll hit you faster than a shark attack!

Drowning- "Girl you leave me breathless, but it's okay cause you are my survival…" You guys keep us drowning in your love by keeping the Backstreet pride alive! Make sure you pack your floaties and ocean attire for this theme night.

I voted for the "Don't Put Out the Glow Party" because that was one of the ideas I submitted months ago when they asked via their facebook page. I think it will be such a cool fun party. Pictures might be harder to take with blacklights, but I'm there to have fun and I'll be able to take pictures other times. That might not even be a factor. The pictures could turn out cooler that way too.

I had a hard time voting for my second choice, but I ended up voting for "cowboys and Indians." I just think it would be fun to see BSB dress up as cowboys and Indians and I would probably end up dressing up as a cowgirl. Maybe we'll even get some country music playing?!

Other themes I liked was "Titanic Formal Night" even though the word Titanic is in it. That's really why I didn't vote for it lol. Same with "Drowning." I guess I'm a little superstitious. The pirate theme is okay but I really was thinking I should vote for the Bachelorette party (and I cheated and voted again lol.) The only thing I'm leery about with this theme, is I don't want it to get too crazy with plastic penises everywhere or something lol. I didn't vote for the Millennium party because I'm not sure what 90's clothes would be. I still wear some of my clothes from the 90s lol so that isn't such a fun thing for me. The Platinum party sounds fun, but it was another color theme and the glow party is kind of like a color theme.

Whatever two themes end up winning, it'll still be a blast. Just wish I could enjoy the excitement of it coming up soon, but I'm just praying things with my mom will get better soon.

Things Have Been Hard Lately

Things have been really bad and hard lately, but I’m trying to keep myself busy and my mind off of things. My mom has been in the hospital since Sunday night. She suffered from another heart attack and her breathing worsened while still using oxygen. They ended up doing an angiogram and put a stent in her heart. I’ve been visiting her when I can because I still have to work and stuff. My work would allow me to visit, but it’s so hard to see her ill and I hate hospitals and environments like that. Anyway, she’s still in the hospital and I’m hoping she’ll be able to get out of the hospital by Sunday. I think they have her on a lot of medicine and she seems loopy from it. I was so scared that this would have been the end. We have been living with her health problems for years now and it’s hard everyday to have to see her illness. I feel so bad for her and the situation in itself. I feel hopeless about the whole thing. Sometimes I feel like I can’t do some things I want to do because I have to take care of her. Plus, my dad is also ill and it’s just too much sometimes. If you guys could just keep my family and me in your prayers.

During all of this hardship, my birthday was this week. I’m the big 3-0 now. I couldn’t really celebrate it because of all the crap going on either. Oh well, just another birthday. I’m going to keep acting like a teenager though lol.

I’ve been getting worried too because the cruise is next month and with all this going on, I kind of feel guilty about planning to go. I can’t lose out on all that money and I promised myself I wouldn’t let all of our problems stop me from pursuing my dreams and doing things. I seen that the guys released some themes to choose from. I picked the neon night because that was one of my ideas and the cowboy and Indians one. They all are good choices though.

I really hope things get fairly back to normal before that cruise time comes. It says in the Bible that God doesn’t give us anything we can’t handle. Well, God must think I’m a badass. I feel overwhelmed with everything.
