My BSB Cruise 2014 Review: Day Two

BSB Cruise 2014: Day Two-Saturday, October 25th, 2014

Even though our day with BSB at Half Moon Cay was scheduled for this day, we ended up having to push this to the last full day of the cruise since the weather wasn't allowing it. Overall, this worked out wonderfully because the weather was perfect the following day and was even better than last year's weather on the island. The Halloween Party was still planned for this night, but everything else followed day three's itinerary.

Photo Sessions with BSB

Because we switched the itinerary around, photo sessions were going to be done one day early. I was actually quite pleased with this because I figured I would look less tired and would be more alert lol.

Since I didn't participate in the poker and blackjack tournaments with Howie and AJ because I don't know how to play at all and didn't want to look like a fool and lose money, I didn't have to worry about those happening in the morning. Instead, I was getting ready for the group photo.

I was in Group B, but because I had previously planned a group with those in Group A and gotten permission from Rose Tours that it would be okay, I ate some breakfast and made my way to the Starlight Lounge for the earlier group. At first I couldn't find my group, but when I did, they thought I wasn't going to show and already replaced me with not one, but two people. I thought that was a bad move because I would think you'd want the group to be as small as possible, but I didn't mind as long as I would get to stand by Nick as planned. Another lady wanted to stand by Nick but he has two sides so I thought that wouldn't be a problem lol. Well, after hearing she wanted Nick to hug her and this and that I decided that it would be best I find another group. I just didn't want to stand on the side with nothing happening.

Practicing lol.

So after that fell through, which I kind of had a feeling it would, I ate some more food and decided I would get to the Starlight Lounge early for Group B so I could find a group. I wanted to keep up my tradition with Nick by being by his side in the picture like my previous ones, but would have been fine with standing by any of the other guys. I truly love them all.

Well, I quickly ended up finding my group and they were a great group of ladies. The picture couldn't have turned out any more perfect! We waited until it was practically the end of the line, which kind of made me nervous, but everything turned out wonderful and I was going to be by Nick's side!

When it was finally our group's turn, I was so happy! I think I get a little too excited when it's all five of them and find it more intimidating, but the moment is always worth the nerves!

First, I said hi to Howie and got a nice Howie hug! Next was AJ and he gave me a nice hug! Then was Nick! We hugged and he pulled me to his side. After this, we took the picture! It was so fast and I was a bit clueless, but everything went perfect! I wanted to talk to Nick, but he was talking to someone in the crew so I hugged Kevin and said hi. He's so nice! Lastly, I was able to hug Brian and say hi. He was the only BSB who talked to me at the time and he asked me how I was, which I thought was really nice and thoughtful of him.

I got to be between Nick and AJ! Yay!

I miss my boys just blogging about this :( This moment came and went so fast, but it was so nice and I'm glad I wasn't totally tired out by the second day as opposed to how I would feel on the third day. I was thinking I could have worn my Halloween sailor costume for the picture, but it wouldn't have went with the rest of the ladies in my group. Plus, I took time to pick out the dress for the picture. I can't believe that I didn't even pre-plan what I was going to wear in the picture last year lol. Duh.

After the picture, I ended up walking around on the Lido Deck taking pictures and enjoying the hot tub. If you ever want to find me, just look in one of the hot tubs lol.

Ah, the ocean :)

Sweet relief!
Don't Forget the Lyrics

I was tempted to stay in the hot tub while the Don't Forget the Lyrics game was going on, but I ended up finding a spot on the right side of the stage after I seen them walk from inside the ship to the stage. I think I enjoyed this game better than the 90's trivia game because it was fun to see the BSB sing songs that aren't theirs. It was also the closest I was going to get to karaoke with BSB.

It was fun to see Nick sing Meghan Trainor's "All About that Bass" since he mentioned he liked that song at one of my vips.

Howie ended up singing Enrique Iglesias' "Hero" and I won't ever be able to take that song seriously again lol. Howie kept saying "you can take my breast away" lol. Oh, Howie!

It was really awesome to see Kevin sing Iggy's "Fancy" and it brought me back to my Chicago soundcheck. He didn't get the rap so well, but definitely got the swagger down lol.

They sung Bon Jovi and I thought that was fun and also Taylor Swift.

AJ sang Justin Bieber's "Boyfriend" and that was really good. Better than Justin Bieber for sure. During the part where AJ had to fill in the missing lyrics, I thought he was making it up to be funny but I guess the song really mentions Buzz Lightyear. How funny. Sounds babyish. I remember they did Christina Aguilera's "Dirty" too.

Look at Howie's arms! Looking good, Howie!

Nick peeking from behind the fake palm tree. That thing was in my way lol.

I love Nick's look on his face. He looks like he's about to do something bad and I like it lol!

The funniest part had to be where they did an Nsync song. I booed at the thought of Nsync lol. Nick said Brian had water mouth from having to sing it haha! He made himself sound nasally like Justin Timberlake and it was just so funny to watch. It sounded better than Nsync! As you can tell, I'm not an Nsync fan lol.

Another funny moment was at the beginning where Madonna's "Like a Virgin" was playing and Nick asked if anyone was a virgin and no one answered! Hilarious! Since it was really quiet, someone should have shouted, "I am! Do you want to do something about it?" LOL I would have died laughing. Hell, if I had enough guts I should have done that!

One other random funny thing I noticed was the guy that was blocking Nick's sexy self on the island last year was once again here this year and was wearing the exact same shirt lol. I find this hilarious. Does he only own one shirt?
Why must you always be in the way? lol

I would have liked to have seen all the boys utilize the little catwalk connected to the stage so I could have seen better, but only Kevin did this, probably because the stage wasn't setup right where the guys could read the lyrics from that way.

I was able to have dinner this night with the roommate and her friends and it was really good. Steak!

After dinner, I decided to walk around a bit before it was time for the In A World Like This Redux concert. I ended up spotting Nick in the casino. I took a seat at one of the slot machines further down from where Nick was playing and took a picture. I think Nick noticed me, but I felt like turning around to see who was behind me lol. It's always hard for me to believe he is looking at me.

There weren't that many fans there and I just ended up watching him play for awhile from afar lol. It was cute to watch him look up at the football game every so often. I felt silly watching him like that so I just ended up leaving while he was still playing, but I heard others got a picture. I would have rathered gambled with him, but I probably would have made me broke because I wouldn't know what the hell I was doing lol.

In A World Like This Redux Group B

After feeling goofy watching Nick in the casino, I made my way to the Blue Sapphire Lounge for the show! This was the best! I wish I could have had a clearer view, but it was wonderful to hear songs that BSB haven't performed in a long time or ones that I wasn't even able to hear live until then. This was so special to me and I thank BSB for this moment so much!

I really enjoyed hearing "Hey Mr. DJ," "That's the Way I Like It," and "If I Knew Then." Here's the setlist:

Backstreet's Back
Hey Mr. DJ
If I Knew Then
As Long As You Love Me
Undone
That's the Way I Like It
Permanent Stain
Siberia
More Than That
Hot Hot Hot
I Want It That Way
In a World Like This
Straight Through My Heart
The Call

Such a great setlist even though none of my song suggestions were picked. The song suggestions I submitted before the cruise were "Yes I Will," "Back to Your Heart," "Try," "You Can Let Go" (with Kevin), and any solo stuff.

It was incredible to hear them sing all these songs and I particularly enjoyed hearing them a capella. I think I was most excited for the earlier songs because I was never able to go to one of their first concert tours and this made me feel like I was at one.

The concert seemed to have gone by so fast and then it was time to get ready for the Halloween Party!

We've Got it Ghoulin' On Halloween Party

I got dressed up as a sailor girl for Halloween night and made my way to the Lido Deck. Finally! A party outside!

Since Group A had enough time to wait outside and get a good spot, I found this one a little harder to find a good spot for myself. Plus, some fans have not been participating in other things to be there earlier and get a good spot. I think that's a waste of money and would never be one to miss certain events or meals just to get up close. I still think it's doable to get a good spot while doing everything on the itinerary.

Anyway, I ended up deciding on being on the higher deck so I could look down and see everything. Didn't turn out to be as good as a spot as I thought, but I still was able to see the guys come out and show off their costumes.

BSB were the Wizard of Oz characters! I preferred them as the Village People from last year just because it was sexier, but this was still fun to see and I was laughing hysterically at Nick being Dorothy...sorry Nick lol. AJ was the scarecrow, Kevin was the wizard, Howie was the tin man, and Brian was the lion. Didn't get too many pictures, mostly video, but below is a nice picture of Howie!

After getting unsatisfied with my view, I made my way back down to the Lido Deck and ended up being on the right side facing the stage. It was fun to see Nick dance with a skeleton decoration and the guys skipping like they were on the yellow brick road.

It was also fun to see Nick getting all excited for "Turn Down For What" and AJ dancing in the pouring rain before everyone went inside.

During the party, I was able to get a picture with Dorothy! The same pushing and cutting in front of me was happening again (no surprise) and I practically gave up just holding up my camera and taking a quick shot before leaving to at least show that I was this close lol. But soon after, Nick and I took our picture. He was so nice! I think he noticed what happened during 70's night and how I kept having girls cut in front of me both times that he actually told one of the girls to hold on and took a picture with me first. I really appreciated that and love him for being so sweet! That made me feel so much better and helped me forget about the previous crappy moment. I think what worried me the most was that I didn't want Nick to think I was some aggressive, crazy fan so this reassured me that he didn't. Thanks Dorothy for the great picture!

Overall, day two was packed with a lot of fun stuff and the parties kept getting better and better!
