Happy Valentine's Day...Nick Has a Twin!

Hi guys. I've been meaning to blog, but haven't had the time until now and it's perfect because it's Valentine's Day! Hope everyone is enjoying the day. I had to work, but I'm just glad it's a Friday and one step closer to the weekend. I wanted to watch my favorite movie of all time, Pretty Woman, but the VHS tape broke so I guess I have to go out and join 2014 and grab the dvd. I just can't believe Target wants $15 for a movie that is old so I'm holding out.

Anyway, I wanted to share something that I think Nick fans would appreciate. I've been seeing this actor do his promotional rounds on daytime and nighttime tv for his Valentine movie and he definitely reminds me of Nick. His name is Alex Pettyfer, he's 24 years old, and basically is the British version of Nick LOL. I think this is kind of funny and wonder if Nick knows about his British twin.

Pettyfer is promoting the remake of Endless Love where he plays David Elliot. I don't know if I'll see the movie in theaters because it looks like it might be too cheesy for me, but I might rent it when it hits dvd.

What do you guys think? Does he remind you of Nick? Out of all the guys Nick has been compared to, I think this guy is the closest. I love our Nick and no one will ever be Nick but Nick, but I just had to share this.

Happy Birthday, Nick! Wishing you a perfect day! I made you a cake last year and I made you another one this year. It's kind of becoming a tradition, but I have to keep eating it by myself lol. Well, my family is helping me out with that part.

Nick's Events for Next Month

Hi guys. Hopefully, you all got the news of Nick doing two events next month in California. One is a bingo event for an animal charity and the other is a book signing. I wish I could go, but I can't travel right now and have to save for the next cruise payment. Sounds like fun though and for a very nice cause. I wish everyone who is able to attend to have fun! (Event details at the end of this blog)

It was also nice to see a picture of Nick in the studio this week. Can't wait to hear some new music of Nick's! The picture of him and his new cat was also really sweet. His cat reminds me of Dr. Evil's cat from Austin Powers lol.

 I thought of some possible themes to submit for the cruise. How does a dork theme or medieval theme sound? Ideally, themes that are fun but not too expensive to work with are good for me.

Since there was a scrapbooking sale at Hobby Lobby, I got some stuff for my BSB Cruise 2013 scrapbook and my best friend found me some banana stickers for bachelorette night lol.

Also, I got something planned for Nick's birthday. It's fun to celebrate our special guy so why not ;)

As for me, work is getting back into full swing again. Storytimes started, programs started, and the library is an all around busy place right now. I did my first program of the month, a circus theme, and it was fun but because of all this freezing weather we are having in Illinois, I didn't have too many kids show up. We still had fun though.

Not only does work have me feeling overwhelmed, but my mom has a lot of health problems and she is in the hospital again. I don't really like to talk too much about this because it is very upsetting, but I'm trying to carry on. Nick and BSB's music keeps me going, so thanks guys! Because of this, it just feels like a repeat of last year. On a positive note, I again have the cruise to look forward too. Really hoping I get picked for an event or vip.

I'm Booked for BSB Cruise 2014!!!!

 I’m booked for my second BSB cruise! I had the best time ever on the last cruise and that’s why I couldn’t pass this one up. I know I will have just as much fun on this cruise or even more fun if that’s possible! So excited!!!! Can’t wait to see all the guys again in such a fun environment. I especially can’t wait to see Nick! ;)

Before the last cruise, I was so nervous about everything because it was a big first for me, but everything worked out well. I’m still nervous about this one, but I’m just so thankful and happy that I can go. Because of my parent’s illnesses, I thought I wouldn’t be able to attend the last cruise, but I can’t let that interfere with my life anymore than it already does.

I’m already trying to think of themes and questions to submit. Also thinking about the door decoration. I was disappointed in myself for my last door decoration because I waited until the last minute and was sick so it didn’t turn out not even remotely how I pictured it. I hope I don’t get a cold this time around. I think that’s partly why I don’t look that great in my pictures.

Last time I did the match program and this time my roomie from the match program booked us our room so the match program does work.

I didn’t realize that even though the credit card info is saved on the rose tours website, it still asks the person booking for the security code on the back of your credit card. So this is a head’s up for anyone out there.

Also, I’m trying to figure out how you can guess how close or how far you are from the stage based on your reservation number. We should be really close considering we booked during the presale and right away.

I’m indifferent on going back to Half Moon Cay. I really loved the island and it probably is a good thing I’m now somewhat familiar with it, but maybe it would have been more exciting to go to a different island, like Nassau.

Also, this time around I’m hoping I’ll get picked for a game or get a vip pass. A girl can dream. It would also be nice if I can get an individual picture with Nick or any of the guys. Last cruise, I was able to get an individual picture with AJ, but a girl shoved my camera out of the way.

That’s another thing. I have to plan how I’m going to deal with girls like that lol. I guess there is nothing I can do about that, but at the same time I don’t want to be walked on.

I keep wondering how they are going to top the bachelorette party and was a bit hesitant just because of that fact, but after seeing AJ’s instagram post saying that this next cruise is going to kick the last cruise’s ass and will be crazier than before, I feel better LOL. I’m holding AJ up to his promise! Also, the rest of the guys better act crazy too haha!

It’ll be a blast no matter what! Now we have to wait until October and I have to start booking my flights, hotel, and such. BSB are going to make me poor, but they are worth it lol.

The Holidays

Thankfully, I’ve been getting much needed time off from work due to the holidays and not using up all my vacation time…until now. I’m definitely enjoying the time off watching movies and trying to get some of my own stuff done, but at the same time I feel a little bored or down. Maybe it’s because Christmas wasn’t the way I liked it to be and also because it was the first Christmas without my furry baby Jamie.

I tried to make the most of the holiday though and I ended up baking a ham for Christmas and it turned out pretty good. I also made a new carrot side dish and that turned out good and some Christmas cookies.

I watched the Disney parade and then went to my brother’s house to visit his pups. I gave cards out to both my parents and my brother, money to my brother, and a small gift for my mom and shoes for my dad. It irritates me when no one bothers to read the cards so maybe next year I just won’t do cards. I got money from my brother, which is nice, but I like it better when someone surprises me or puts some thought into the gift. I got a nice ornament frame from a coworker and a dachshund ornament from my boss. The best Christmas present I got was from myself lol. That would of course be the Dec. 6 BSB concert in Chicago and VIP. I know myself so well lol.

That pretty much was my Christmas. I wish we would have decorated the house more or have gotten a real tree or decorated any tree but that’s just how it is right now.

As for New Years, I’ll probably be watching all the music shows on tv and enjoying some more time off from work. It’s always nice to get a fresh new year with endless possibilities.

The year 2013 has been bipolar bittersweet for me filled with high ups and low downs. I can sincerely say that everything awesome that happened to me this year was because of BSB! Losing my doggy soulmate and my parents with their serious health problems have been lows. Thankfully, I keep treating myself to BSB events. I really want to treat myself in 2014 to the cruise, but I don’t know what I’m going to do just yet.

I hope 2014 brings us peace, love, and happiness and that all the crap that may be in our lives just dissolves away and is replaced by the good stuff.

Nick's Chats and Tweets

Hi all and to those who just joined Nick's fanclub.

Nick did another chat Monday and it was perfect timing because I was just going on my lunch break. It also ended right when my lunch break ended. It was funny because when I told one of my coworkers what I was doing, she said she would leave me alone and have my Nick time LOL.

It was a nice chat. I was kind of distracted with being at work, but it was still nice to be able to be in the chat room. I wanted to ask Nick if he got his gifts from the cruise (I got him a pug life shirt) and how they plan to top the next cruise because I can't honestly think of any way they could top the bachelorette party.

Also, as I'm sure a lot of you know, Nick has been tweeting a lot. He said he's going to be more involved on the website and wants us to make videos like we are newscasters. I love the idea because I majored in journalism in college, but I hate my voice on video lol so I'm not sure if I'll participate, but if I have time between work and other things I think I will give it a try.

He also mentioned on Twitter that he will sing Silent Night to us on the website. That is my favorite Christmas song so I can't miss that!

Meanwhile, I'm trying to figure out if I'll be able to make it to next years' cruise. I really want to go, so we'll see. I'm just so happy and thankful I was able to go on this past cruise and I'm still thinking about that one lol. I want to make a dvd of my footage if I ever get around to it.

I'm also going through Backstreet withdrawal. Seen the guys in Chicago and was fortunate enough to get vip on December 6th, but feeling the withdrawal already lol. I have my vip picture in every room of my house lol.
